TUS Research Institute for Energy and Environmental Protection is jointly established by TUS-Clean Energy Research Institute and TUS-Environmental Research Institute under the guidance of TusHolding’s “Integration of Energy and Environmental Protection” policy. With the goal of national energy and environment development, the Joint Research Institute is based on Tsinghua University and global scientific research advantages to build a more comprehensive and authoritative technological achievement transformation platform covering the fields of clean energy, energy conservation and environmental protection. The Joint Research Institute has now engaged more than 6 academicians in the field of energy and environmental protection and more than 20 professors or experts as members of its technical committee. It integrates technology R&D, achievement transformation, talent training, financial services and enterprise development into one, opens up the boundaries of energy and environmental protection through technological integration, and transforms technological achievements into productivity, thus realizing the improvement of asset returns and allowing more technologies to enter the market to serve the environmental industry.
TUS Research Institute for Energy and Environmental Protection has the four major functions of innovative technology development, achievement transformation accelerator, technology research center and talent training center. Powered by scientific research universities and oriented by industrial demands, with the rapid transformation of achievements as the goal, innovative technologies as core competitiveness and the cultivation of professional talents as support, it guides the direction of industrial layout and proposes industrial development paths to promote industrial development.
